Google Photos now has a ‘Rediscover This Day’ feature to spark off some nostalgia

Google Photos - Rediscover This Day

Users of #Google Photos are now seeing the addition of a new feature called ‘Rediscover This Day‘ in the Assistant view of the app. This is essentially a reminder of sorts to tell you what pictures you took an year ago or two years ago on the same day.

This feature was apparently visible to a handful of users already, so it seems like Google has now officially started rolling it out to the wider audience. It is said that the feature will be opt in, so you will not be forced to take a trip down the memory lane, which is a good privacy feature in place.

Overall, this is a very good feature to have especially if you’ve got years worth of photos backed up on Google Photos. The feature should appear as soon as you get a new update to the app, which should be rolling out any moment now. Head over to the Play Store link below to grab it manually, just in case the update notification hasn’t popped on your device yet.
