Fossil shows off its first Intel powered Android Wear smartwatch

Fossil Android Wear

#Fossil expressed interest in an #AndroidWear smartwatch right after #Google made the platform official in mid-2014. However, the company hasn’t released a smartwatch yet, but that could be changing very quickly. The company has now officially shown off its smartwatch which is packing a very familiar design and an Intel made silicon underneath.

The Fossil watch looks pretty identical to the Moto 360 in terms of appearance and even has that flat tyre design, which has been subject to a lot of talk since Motorola released the smartwatch last year. We’re not getting any more details from this image, but it seems like Fossil will allow easy changing of bands, which will make it consumer friendly as well.

The company is supposedly aiming for a holiday season release of the wearable, so we still have some more months to wait before the smartwatch is released. Knowing Fossil, the smartwatch shouldn’t be all too expensive, but we might also be in for a surprise in that area, so it’s still too early to tell.
