#Facebook has been continually growing ever since its inception. By tapping into new markets and acting as one of the primary sources of communication between people scattered across the world, the company has quickly become the social media juggernaut that it is today. The company CEO, Mark Zuckerberg as now mentioned in a post that the social network hit 1 billion daily users on Monday.
He said – “On Monday, 1 in 7 people on Earth used Facebook to connect with their friends and family,” he wrote. “When we talk about our financials, we use average numbers, but this is different. This was the first time we reached this milestone, and it’s just the beginning of connecting the whole world.”
This is undoubtedly a remarkable feat for the Facebook team and shows the sheer volume of users at its disposal. The number will only grow stronger over the coming months as Facebook adds more users. The company’s ambitions don’t end with major regions like the U.S. or EU, as they have launched several initiatives to bring Facebook access in developing countries using solar powered planes for internet connectivity.
