Back panel of the Motorola DROID Maxx 2 revealed

Verizon Motorola Droid Maxx 2

#Verizon is expected to release the #DROIDMaxx2 smartphone very soon as we’re all well aware. A new leak has now given us our very first look of the smartphone, although only the back panel is shown. This leak from a Chinese source tells us that the smartphone will bear similarity to the #MotoXPlay which was announced by the company nearly a month ago.

It’s quite clear that this is indeed a Verizon DROID handset, given the branding etched on the bottom of the back panel. We hope to get a much better look of the smartphone sometime soon, but this will have to do for now. Given how the Moto X Play has a massive 3,630 mAh battery, it’s possible that Motorola could be looking to simply rebrand the device as the DROID Maxx 2 for the U.S. markets.

Unfortunately, it seems like the smartphone will be a Verizon exclusive in the U.S., with the Moto X Play not set for a release in the country. So if you want to get something like the Moto X Play in the U.S., Verizon Wireless might be your only option.
