Want YouTube for your Android Wear smartwatch? There’s an app for that

Android Wear

The Android Wear platform is quite versatile in its approach as we’ve seen since its launch. Developers have pushed the boundaries consistently to give us features that we never knew existed. One such feature is now making its way to Android Wear courtesy of an app called Video for Android Wear. As you’ve probably guessed by now, this essentially brings YouTube videos to your wrist.

The app comes from a third party developer, so it doesn’t necessarily have Google’s blessing. We mention this because it could be ridden with bugs as Android Wear wasn’t designed to handle video playback, because frankly it doesn’t make sense to watch videos from your wrist. The app can be downloaded/sideloaded for free, although there’s a Pro version available for $2.99 which unlocks a couple of features and functionality.

It is important to note that the app is functional with practically any Android Wear device, so you don’t have to worry about compatibility as long as you have a functioning Android Wear smartwatch at your disposal. Make sure you head over to the Play Store link below to download the app right away.
