The OnePlus 2 was announced earlier this week in a VR themed event. And much like the predecessor, the smartphone will be available through an invite system. With users already eager to get their hands on the handset, the company has now announced that over a million customers have expressed interest to receive an invite. This is just in 3 days since the system went live, speaking volumes about the demand for the new OnePlus flagship.
Bear in mind that this is merely a pre-registration for now and the users are yet to receive the invites. There’s no word on when users will get their hands on the invites ahead of the August 11 availability. The OnePlus 2 is one of the best flagship offerings available in the market for the cost it’s selling for.
At $329 for the 16GB variant and $389 for the 64GB model, the OnePlus 2 is clearly one of the best devices in the market today. It packs a 5.5 inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 810 SoC, 3/4GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front camera, Android 5.1 Jelly Bean with Oxygen OS and a 3,300 mAh battery.
