Dual SIM variant of the Galaxy S6 now getting Android 5.1

Galaxy S6

Samsung released the dual SIM variant of the Galaxy S6 alongside the standard model a couple of months ago. And as the regular models receive the Android 5.1 update, the company has now started sending out the update to the Duos variant as well.

The changes will be very identical as the standard model, so don’t expect anything new on board. Users should find features like Factory Reset protection and some other stock Android features here, while Samsung has also made a handful of updates to the TouchWiz UI, thus warranting a full blown update for the customers.

You will be able to arrange or remove the Quick Settings icons now, which was not possible prior to this and you will also find performance to be smoother than before. This variant is mostly found in global markets, but on the off chance that you’re using a Duos version in the U.S., the update should be right around the corner.
