AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 getting a minor update

Galaxy S5

The Samsung Galaxy S5 on AT&T is the recipient of a fresh update, sized at 296MB, which might be slightly deceiving for a few users. An update this size could be easily confused for Android 5.1, but unfortunately, the smartphone remains on Android 5.0 Lollipop for the time being.

So what’s exactly new with the update? Nothing really, as AT&T’s changelog only mentions security enhancements and some minor performance tweaks, so we’re not really sure as to what’s new with this update. Either way, it’s good to see that the carrier is rolling out an update to the device and patching the necessary bugs.

The update comes with the build number G900AUCU4BOF2, so keep a note of that if you’re on the lookout. We must mention here that although the update is currently seeding to all devices starting right now, it might take a while to reflect on all devices, so you’re probably not the only one if you’re not getting the update yet.
