Sony has just announced the global rollout of the Xperia Z4 Tablet starting with Germany, Italy, Poland and Sweden. The company is also taking pre-orders for the tablet in the UK, France and Spain with a delivery estimate of late June. It must be noted that the tablet has already been available in Hong Kong for quite a while now and this can be deemed as Sony’s willingness to bring the device to larger markets.
We can only hope that Sony brings the device to the highly lucrative American markets as well, where the demand for tablets are generally quite high, although it’s dominated by Apple’s iPads. Only the WiFi models of the Xperia Z4 Tablet are available for purchase at this moment and the LTE variants won’t be available until the 17th of June, depending on the region.
The Xperia Z4 Tablet is a powerhouse as far as hardware is concerned and features a 10.1 inch 2560 x 1600 resolution display, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (expandable), an 8.1-megapixel camera on the back, the octa core 64-bit Snapdragon 810 SoC, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 6,000 mAh battery. Adding to the long list of specs is the IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
Would you like to see a device of this calibre in the U.S.? Sound off below.
