T-Mobile Galaxy S5 receiving the Android 5.1.1 update

Galaxy S5

T-Mobile has just begun rolling out the Android 5.1.1 update for its variant of the Galaxy S5. The update comes just a week after T-Mobile started sending out Android 5.1.1 to the Galaxy S6, so the carrier has been pretty quick in rolling it out.

There are some changes that we saw on the Android 5.1.1 update from the Galaxy S6, such as the parallax effect, the ability to remove a handful of toggles from the Quick Settings menu as well as the Guest Mode feature that was originally introduced with Android 5.0.

T-Mobile customers should see the update over the next few days, and it might help if you head over to the Settings and check for an update that way. Users can also hook up their Galaxy S5 to the computer using the Samsung Kies software and try pulling an update there. In any case, Android 5.1.1 should be hitting your T-Mobile Galaxy S5 over the coming days.
