Sprint LG G Flex 2 receiving Android 5.1.1 today

LG G Flex 2

Sprint customers who purchased the LG G Flex 2 will be pleased to know that the smartphone will be getting the Android 5.1.1 update, accompanied by the usual suite of LG features. As most of us probably know, Android 5.1.1 only brings bug fixes and has no bearing on the functionality or UI whatsoever. Any updates made to the usability will have to come from LG’s end.

The update comes with the build number LS996ZV6 and sadly there’s no full changelog available at this point. But the lack of a changelog is barely a surprise as this is seen as a bug fixing system update and probably won’t contain a long list of changes on board. It is likely that Sprint will install some bloatware with the update as well, so don’t be surprised if you see a couple of new apps on the device after the update.

As is the case with system updates, it could take some time before reaching all devices, so don’t be disappointed if you don’t see it right away. Head over to the link below for more details.
