Samsung files trademark for Galaxy S6 Note moniker in Korea

Galaxy S6 Note

With the number of Galaxy S6 series handsets touching three with the launch of the Galaxy S6 Active, one would have imagined that Samsung would be done with its quota of handsets belonging to the series by now. But now, it is revealed that the company has filed a trademark application for the Galaxy S6 Note moniker, indicating that a device with this name could be inbound.

It’s unlikely that Samsung will launch a device this early in the day though, especially considering that the Galaxy S6, the Galaxy S6 Edge and the Galaxy S6 Note were only recently announced across the globe. As is the case with trademark applications, manufacturers usually don’t even launch several devices and this is just a way to keep rivals and competitors from using that name.

If this device were to go official someday though, we expect it to be packing a S-Pen like accessory and possibly a slightly larger display compared to the Galaxy S6. What do you think?
