The LG G Watch R is now being listed as “unavailable in your country” on the Google Store for users in the U.S. and Japan, forcing us to believe that Google has taken it out of rotation altogether. The smartwatch recently received a price reduction bringing its overall cost down to $249 from $299, which was perhaps an indicator of things to come.
The smartwatch is still up for grabs in some other parts of the world though, so we’re guessing Google is only clearing it out of the Google Store based on the stocks they have at their disposal. We’re yet to hear about this officially from Google, so we might be jumping to conclusions a little too early.
But with that being said, it doesn’t seem far fetched to assume that the G Watch R might have been discontinued given that G Watch also saw the same fate a few months ago.
LG is currently marketing the Watch Urbane as its flagship smartwatch, so this move will ensure that all eyes are focused on the newly released wearable.
