ASUS sending out Android 5.0 for its trio of 2014 ZenFone smartphones

ASUS ZenFone

ASUS unveiled the ZenFone 4, 5 and 6 last year with varying display sizes appealing to a wide section of the market. It is now being reported that the company has begun sending out the Android 5.0 update for the smartphones. We reported about the company’s intentions to send out the Android 5.0 update for the handsets a few weeks ago, and it’s good to see that the company has stuck to its promise.

It must be noted that one model of the ZenFone 5 in Taiwan is already featuring Android 5.0 Lollipop, but the rest of the world markets are yet to see the update. The update will also introduce the company’s Zen UI layering on top, which will bring forth some handy features on the handsets. This UI is running by default on the recently launched ZenFone 2.

Users will find features like head-up notifications, a revamped notifications and the all new Quick Settings bar with a handful of other features on board as well. Head over to the official ASUS forum page below for more details.
