Android 5.1.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 said to be in testing

Galaxy Note 4

Samsung has already sent out the Android 5.0 update for the Galaxy Note 4, but there’s no concrete word on the Android 5.1 update as of yet. A new revelation is telling us now that Samsung is in fact testing this update and will get the Android 5.1.1 update over the coming weeks.

We don’t think there will be any massive changes with Android 5.1 apart from a handful of stock Android related changes and some new TouchWiz features if you’re lucky enough. The Galaxy Note 4 boasts of a premium grade display and camera, which has helped it receive widespread success.

The device has also been spotted on AnTuTu benchmarks, scoring points of 47,493 with the Android version mentioned as 5.1.1. While Samsung has remained relatively tight lipped about the update, we should expect to get a word on it really soon. Bear in mind that unlocked models are usually the first to get the update and carrier variants might have to wait a bit before getting the update. So don’t get your hopes up if you own a carrier variant of the handset.
