As we all know, Xiaomi is bringing its accessory store to the U.S. via mi.com. However, the company is yet to bring its smartphone lineup to the country, which is what the company is known for in the first place.
And the company has now given clarification on its arrival in the American markets. Speaking during the Code Conference, Xiaomi’s Hugo Barra mentioned that the company will bring its smartphones to the U.S., but not right away.
He said that they are looking to strengthen their customer service team in the country before bringing smartphones to the region. This could take some time as it involves recruiting people and setting up new offices. Xiaomi as we all know is one of the largest smartphone sellers in the world behind top companies like Samsung, Apple etc. So their devices have a certain amount of popularity in the global markets, although their presence is mostly limited to Asia and South America (Brazil).
