Verizon Adds Six New XLTE Markets

Verizon XLTE

Verizon’s XLTE network has now been in service for millions of people for 1 year now and to celebrate, Verizon is expanding that reach to 6 new markets.

First, some facts. Verizon says that XLTE is now in 400 markets across the US, in both major cities and rural areas. Over 40 devices of theirs support XLTE and LTE bands 4 and 13, including Samsung’s Galaxy series of devices, the DROID Turbo, and various models of iPhones. Here are the new XLTE markets:

  • Madisonville, KY
  • Marshalltown, IA
  • Martinsville, VA
  • Meridian, MS
  • Owensboro, KY
  • Traverse City, MI

So if you live in those markets with a compatible device, you should be able to experience faster speeds and less traffic issues. Verizon is also touting XLTE’s advancements in their own infographic. Are you getting better speeds since XLTE was switched on last year?
