According to a new rumor, Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Note 5 flagship a couple of months ahead of schedule to get a leg up on the new range of iPhones that are expected to break cover by September this year.
This move makes sense given that the company’s Galaxy Note flagships usually don’t get the kind of response that the company expects. It is being said that Samsung has started development of the Galaxy Note 5 faster than expected, so the Korean manufacturer should be able to release the new flagship in time.
There’s no mention of the hardware as of yet, but rumors have hinted that the Galaxy Note 5 will come with a 5.89 inch display, possibly with a Quad HD resolution. It is said that the thickness of the smartphone will be 7.9mm, which should make for a very good looking device. It is said that the device also has a 4,100 mAh battery on board as well as an Exynos chipset.
The Galaxy Note Edge 2, which is expected to launch separately will reportedly sport a 5.78 inch panel, the report said.
