Samsung updating Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge with fingerprint scanner related changes

Galaxy S6

Samsung is now sending out an update to the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphones with some small changes on board. While the update doesn’t change the Android version, it is said that there are some fingerprint scanner related upgrades on board.

The company was said to be rolling out the Android 5.1 update for the T-Mobile version of the Galaxy S6 Edge recently. But this brings no such changes and only some system level changes, along with the aforementioned fingerprint scanner upgrade. It is said that the Email, S Planner and Music apps are also seeing minor changes.

The update is 159.29MB in size, thus indicating that it doesn’t bring any major changes to the table. The build changes to XXU1AOE3 after the update. The update might not reflect immediately on your device, so don’t lose patience if you don’t find it right away. We must point out that the update is only available for unlocked models, so the carriers might take some time to send it out to their devices.
