Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5 on Verizon getting the Lollipop update

Galaxy Tab S 10.5

America’s largest carrier Verizon has now begun the rollout of Android 5.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S 10.5. The software version changes to T807VVRU1BOD2 post the update, so make a note of that if you’re interested. The tablet is getting the Android 5.0.2 update and not Android 5.1 as you’re probably hoping.

This comes after the T-Mobile and AT&T models of the tablet started receiving the update not too long ago. The WiFi models are also running Android 5.0.2 at this point, so Verizon is most likely the last carrier to send out the update to its smartphone.

The changelog should include a bunch of improvements as we’ve seen with the update before. We expect to see a new lockscreen combined by a slightly revamped Quick Settings menu on the tablet. It is likely that the update carries a bunch of Verizon bloatware as well.

Are you seeing the update on your Galaxy Tab S 10.5 yet? Sound off below.
