Reports in the past had suggested that the Samsung Galaxy A8 will be limited to the Chinese markets. A new report now suggests that the smartphone will be available across other Asian regions as well as Europe.
It is said that the Galaxy A8 will come with a 5.7 inch 1080p display in a 5.9mm metallic frame. There’s also said to be a 16-megapixel camera on board, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, the octa core Snapdragon 615 SoC, a 3,050 mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop.
There’s no word on whether the smartphone will make its way to the U.S., but it’s not far fetched to expect American carriers like Sprint, T-Mobile etc to bring the device to its midrange customers. We can expect a price tag of about $250-300 for the smartphone, which should make it very competitive in Asia and Europe.
