A recent rumor indicated that HTC was looking to launch a budget tablet in the markets soon. According to new reports, this tablet will sport a 7 inch display, which was already expected. It is also being said that HTC will have a dual SIM card slot on the tablet, possibly to appease the Asian markets.

Other rumored features of the tablet include a 1.2 GHz quad core processor and a paltry 1GB of RAM accompanied by 16GB of internal storage. It’s clear from this leak that the tablet will not be topping the benchmarking charts as far as performance is concerned. The availability of dual SIM card slots tells us that the tablet will be capable of voice calling as well.

The import listing where this device was spotted mentions the pricing to be somewhere around the $150 mark, which is understandable given the hardware on board. Unfortunately, there’s no word on a release date as of now.
