Lenovo announces its very own virtual reality headset known as the VR Goggles

VR Goggles - Lenovo

With a myriad of manufacturers launching their own virtual reality headsets in the market, Lenovo too has now joined in on the action with its new VR Goggles. This functions just like Oculus Rift or the Samsung Gear VR and requires a smartphone to pair with. Users can navigate the onscreen menu using a remote as it lacks touchscreen functionality.

The company has merely given a demo of the product and is yet to announce as to when the device will be officially available, but we expect to learn more as we progress towards the year. The company did mention however that the VR Goggles will be arriving later in the year probably with a price tag comparable to the Oculus Rift and the Samsung Gear VR.

Given that the VR Goggles are only compatible with Lenovo smartphones, it is possible that the device will only be launched in regions where Lenovo devices are in prominence.
