[Download] Android 5.1.1 with WiFi Calling for the T-Mobile Nexus 6

Nexus 6

T-Mobile was expected to rollout the Android 5.1.1 update for the Nexus 6 carrying the WiFi calling feature. Interested users can now manually download this update, either through the OTA download link or a factory image link. Both have been signed by Google officially, so you can download them without worry.

The factory image file is a hefty 896MB in size, which is understandable given what it brings to the table. The OTA zip file on the other hand is a meager 126MB in size. For those wondering, the update changes the build number to LYZ28E.

As you probably guessed, the update is a T-Mobile only affair for the time being, but we’re certain that the Android 5.1.1 update for the global Nexus 6 models will be underway very soon. Strangely, the update has already been seeded to the Nexus 9, Nexus 10, Nexus 7, Nexus 5 and even the Nexus 4 which has taken us a bit by surprise as the newest Nexus handset usually gets prioritized as far as updates are concerned.

So if you’re interested in downloading the OTA file or getting the factory image for your T-Mobile Nexus 6, make sure you hit the links below. Before proceeding, make sure you’ve done your due diligence as a procedure like this could be potentially risky for your phone.
