ASUS bringing ZenFone Selfie smartphone with dual 13MP cameras and Laser Autofocus

According to a Taiwanese source, ASUS is launching the ZenFone Selfie smartphone during next month’s Computex 2015 event. This event will also see host to the launch of the ZenPad 7 and ZenPad 8 tablets that were leaked out on Monday.

This selfie oriented handset will reportedly pack a 13-megapixel camera on the front with a dual LED flash as well as laser autofocus à la LG G3/G4. The handset is believed to be packing a 5.5 inch display as well, indicating that it might be the same as the ZenFone 2 in that regard.

We’re guessing the ZenFone Selfie will run an Intel based SoC on board, much like the current crop of ZenFones. We don’t have more information on this mystery smartphone right now, but luckily, we don’t have to wait long in order to find out.

We’ve already seen plenty of selfie phones breaking cover in the industry with the likes of HTC, Sony etc launching their own, so it’s only fair for ASUS to leverage some of that demand as well.
