Uber could soon start its own delivery service soon

A new report suggests that major retailers like Neiman Marcus, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany’s, Hugo Boss and several others are in talks with Uber for the launch of a new same day delivery service. This will supposedly be tied up with UberRush, which is the company’s courier service that was started off last year.

While it will be started off as a standalone service, Uber will want its regular drivers to also deliver cargo at some point. The key here is to offer same day delivery for major retail chains across the world, although we feel the pilot will be started off in the U.S.

The feature is already being tested apparently, so it shouldn’t take long to come to fruition. This could make your lives even easier as you could arrange the pickup of an item from a store using Uber without having to move from your couch. A courier service usually takes a day or two to arrive, so this is an exciting idea from the Uber team. Although some courier services offer same-day delivery, Uber’s name in the industry will certainly make it an exciting prospect.
