Twitter launching new ‘Highlights’ feature on Android

Twitter Highlights

Twitter has just launched a new ‘Highlights‘ feature on Android which gives you a quick peek of all the content from the app that you might have missed. Users have to opt into this feature, which means that not everybody will be bombarded with information that they do not need.

Content will be curated from the people you follow, ongoing trends on Twitter and some other popular data. Once you scroll through the Highlights, you can return to your timeline and view tweets as usual. This feature is exclusive to Android for the time being with the iOS version expected to get it sometime in the future.

You can turn on the Highlights feature from the Settings on the Twitter app. Notifications will be shown to the users up to two times per day, but not more than that. So even if you have it enabled, you don’t have to worry about your notifications area being crowded with too many messages.

Do you like the addition of this new feature? Sound off below.
