T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge supposedly getting the Android 5.1.1 update

Galaxy S6 Edge

In what has been the most shocking thing we’ve heard so far today, the T-Mobile variant of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is supposedly getting the Android 5.1 update. The carrier hasn’t made a formal announcement about this and it’s only one user who is claiming to have received the update as of now. To prove its legitimacy, he has even posted a video on YouTube, showing the functioning of the update.

Evidently, he claims that the device is buttery smooth now and has no performance issues whatsoever. Although the user claims that the bootloader was locked after the update, he was apparently able to downgrade the bootloader to flash TWRP recovery again, so no concerns in that area.

We are still not completely positive about this new revelation so we suggest you take it with a heavy grain of salt. If you own a T-Mobile variant of the Galaxy S6 Edge and are seeing the aforementioned update, make sure you let us know by dropping a line below.
