Samsung supposedly taking input from fashion designers for its upcoming circular wearable

Gear A Circular Display

Korean manufacturer Samsung is said to be working on a new smartwatch scheduled to launch later this year. This wearable known as the Gear A is expected to be packing a circular display (which was recently confirmed by the company), a bezel ring which can be rotated to control the UI and cellular connectivity much like the Gear S from last year. A new report now tells us that Samsung is taking the design of this new wearable very seriously by seeking design inputs from fashion designers and artists.

Samsung is currently said to be working with neo-pop artist Romero Britto who is also working on accessories for the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge. Samsung could also take the help of other prominent brands like Z Zegna, Swarovski, Tech21, Anymode and Incipio in designing bands for the Gear A.

The company hasn’t confirmed this report yet, but it seems likely given the company’s eagerness to succeed in the wearable market. We might have to wait until September to see the finished product though, so there’s still some waiting to do.
