  3. Insert the OTG cable to your phone and wait for a few minutes to finish the process.
  4. Set the controller in game mode so it works as designed.

One of the said features is called Priority Mode. When enabled, Priority mode will not ring when there’s an incoming call except for certain people you nominate under this mode.

With Samsung prioritizing the roll out of Lollipop to its newer devices like the S5 and Note 4, it may take a while for most Samsung Galaxy S4 users to install the newest Android version on their phone. The good thing is, you don’t have to wait for Lollipop to have Priority mode like functionality on your phone by simply installing a free app called Essential Calls Lite. This app does not need a rooted device to work so here are the things that you need to do to get it:

  • Go to the Play Store.
  • Download and install Essential Call Lite app developed by Sifakas.

  • Now, after opening the app you will be asked to add Essential Contacts to your whitelist.  By choosing a certain phone number the device will ring even your phone was set to silent mode. To begin, tap plus (+) sign and choose Contacts from the menu.
  • Note: The free version Essential Calls app can only allow 2 contacts in your whitelisted. While the app you purchased from Play Store that cost $0.99 can unlock unlimited whitelist.
  • Another good thing about this app is its ability to set up a schedule for your phone to mute the ringer on a daily and hourly basis. Just tap the clock icon within the app to set up a schedule.
  • After you set up the schedule and your whitelist, simply press the Activate button to start the app. From here on, the phone’s ringer will be muted and it will only ring when there’s an incoming call from your whitelisted contacts.
