Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note Edge from Sprint now getting Android 5.0

Galaxy Note Edge - Android 5.0

Sprint has officially started the rollout of Android 5.0 for its variant of the Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy Note Edge today. The Galaxy Note 3 will run the build number N900PVPUEOC5 after the update while the Galaxy Note Edge will receive the build N915PVPU0AOC8 post the update.

The updates are available over the air and should be rolling out right away, so you should get a notification anytime now. Users can expect familiar Android 5.0 related changes with this update bundled with the new TouchWiz features that we saw on the Galaxy Note 4.

It is said that the Galaxy Note Edge is also getting some WiFi calling related improvements from Sprint, so there are some additional features bundled in with stock Android. Bear in mind that although the carrier has begun the update rollout today, it might take a couple of days for the update to make its way to both devices.
