Samsung Galaxy Alpha getting Android 5.0 Lollipop in some regions

Galaxy Alpha

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha is reportedly getting the Android 5.0 update as of today. At this point, only French customers are said to be getting the update, but other parts of the world shouldn’t be far away from getting the new update. It is now to be seen as to when the carriers will begin the update rollout.

The update is said to be under 1GB in size, so it will be wise to stay on an unlimited WiFi network before downloading the update. The Galaxy Alpha will receive a significant boost with the Lollipop update and the users will certainly welcome its addition.

You will find an all new notifications area with an updated lock screen as well. Rest of the features are TouchWiz related, so not much that a stock Android user can relate to. If you own a Galaxy Alpha and happen to reside in France, make sure you’re on the lookout for an update. You can also try pulling the update via Samsung Kies.
