OnePlus holding off on the CM12S update to bring in new voice command feature

OnePlus One

The OnePlus One is expected to receive the CM12S update very soon. The company founder Carl Pei has now said on Twitter that the update rollout has been delayed to bring a new “OK OnePlus” feature to the device. This is something like OK Google, but perhaps a replacement to that.

As we know, the Android 5.0 update brings the voice commands feature throughout the system, so it’s understandable as to why the company wants to implement this feature with the new update. We’re not sure this will be welcomed by the users though as people expect a relatively stock Android experience with the OnePlus One and the company has delivered on that promise so far.

CM12S will be rolled out to OnePlus One owners over the air, so users can expect to find it on their devices over the coming weeks. We can expect confirmation from the company officials in the days to come.
