Samsung Galaxy S6

Getting an Android devices offers a variety of options to the users. And to enable some of the crucial features that are otherwise disabled by the manufacturer, it is imperative that customers root their device. It seems like users of the Samsung Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge might have to steer clear of such activity if they want to keep using Samsung Pay.

A new revelation tells us that rooting the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone essentially makes Samsung Pay unusable. This happens due to Samsung Knox, which is the built in security system on the company’s smartphones. As soon as Knox realizes that the device has been modified in any way, it apparently blocks Samsung Pay.

Of course, users can still root their devices if they don’t find Samsung Pay useful at this point. It is to be seen if the developer community is able to come up with a way to bypass Samsung Knox’s security even after rooting the device. But if you want to keep using Samsung Pay on your Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 Edge at this point, we suggest you stay away from rooting.
