LG G4 revealed to be lacking Quick Charge 2.0 support

LG announced the G4 smartphone yesterday with plenty of hardware features on show. However, a new revelation tells us that it’s missing one of the key features that we’ve seen in Qualcomm powered phones of late, which is Quick Charge 2.0. As we all know, devices like the Nexus 6, Motorola Droid Turbo, HTC One M8 and several others come with Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

LG’s new flagship however is only said to be packing support for 1.8 Amp chargers. This isn’t exactly the same as Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 tech, but does the job pretty well. We must mention here that there’s no need for caution yet as last year’s LG G3 also lacked the Quick Charge feature and was still one of the quickest charging devices going around. This does however mean that using a Quick Charge compatible charging adapter won’t speed up the charging of the device in any way.

Are you disappointed with the lack of Quick Charge 2.0 on the LG G4 or is it inconsequential to you?
