Lenovo has just unveiled a new smartphone for the Chinese markets sporting 4GB of RAM and a massive 4,000 mAh battery pack. The smartphone known as the K80 will be exclusive to the Chinese markets for the time being.
The device features a 5.5 inch 1080p display, an Intel Atom quad core processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, 64GB of internal storage, a 13-megapixel camera on the back with optical image stabilization, a 5-megapixel front camera, Android 5.0 Lollipop and support for 4G LTE networks.
Lenovo claims that the 4,000 mAh battery on the device can offer talktime of up to 33 hours, which is pretty impressive for a smartphone. Lenovo will also have a variant with half the storage and 2GB of RAM, obviously with a cheaper price tag. This model will be available for purchase through Chinese retailer T-Mall starting April 30, while the variant with 4GB of RAM will be up for grabs soon.
Pricing for the 4GB RAM model has been set at 1799 CNY or $290, while the other model will cost 1499 CNY or $242. For the sort of hardware that is present here, the pricing seems to be pretty aggressive from Lenovo. The company hasn’t shared details about a global launch at this point.
