Google announces new watch band partners for Android Wear

Android Wear Straps

Google has just announced its partnership with three third party watch band makers who will design straps specifically for the range of Android Wear smartwatches. Companies like E3 Motorcycles, Worn & Wound and Clockwork Synergy have already listed replaceable watch straps for Android Wear devices on their online stores.

The customization options have always been relatively large for Android Wear devices as they utilize standard 22mm straps which is quite commonplace. This meant that customers could practically use any bands that they want as long as they were 22mm in size. But Google’s official partnership with three new companies will give users that added motivation to purchase more straps for their wearables.

The straps are also available in Horween Leather and steel variants, so the manufacturers are offering premium grade straps here. The bands are currently available for the LG G Watch, the G Watch R, the Moto 360, the ASUS ZenWatch and several others. Make sure you head over to the dedicated pages of the aforementioned manufacturers from the links below for more details on these new watch straps.
