Global Galaxy Note 4 models getting a firmware update

Galaxy Note 4

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (SM-N910F) is now seeing a new firmware update, which has caused some excitement among users. However, this is only a minor firmware patch from the company and the Android version remains unchanged at Android 5.0.1. This comes after Samsung made it clear recently that it isn’t working on any Android 5.1 related ROMs for its flagship devices.

The update changes the build number to LRX22C.N910FXXU1BOC3. It has been spotted only in Europe as of now and could be limited to the region or wherever the aforementioned model number of the Galaxy Note 4 is being used.

Users who have received this new update claim that the update doesn’t introduce a lot of visual changes but makes the device more stable while improving the UI flow as well, which is always good news for the customers. The update is also said to be re-introducing the Silent Mode feature on the smartphone, which has been absent from all of Samsung’s Android 5.0 builds.
