CM12 update for the OnePlus One delayed further due to certification issues

OnePlus One

While OnePlus has been focused on launching its DR-1 Drone, there’s some bad news waiting for customers of the OnePlus One. A new report suggests that the CM12 update which would finally bringing Android 5.0 to the smartphone has been delayed yet again due to certification issues.

The company said the following in one of its forum posts “All parties are working together to resolve the problems as soon as possible,” with no word on when the OTA update will be made available to the customers.

Technically, OnePlus cannot be blamed here as CM12 updates are issued by Cyanogen. Unfortunately, OnePlus’ own Oxygen OS ROM was also delayed due to certification related issues.

The company has no word on when this issue will be resolved for good, so all that the customers can do at this point is wait for the company to offer more details over the coming days. Do you own a OnePlus One? What do you make of this news?
