Android Wear app gets an update with some design changes

Android Wear

The Android Wear app on the Google Play Store has received a new update, bringing some UI changes along with it. This comes as the Android Wear devices started receiving an update which introduced features like WiFi support, emojis, new app drawer and some other handy additions.

The update to the companion app introduces Cloud Sync, which allows pairing of the device with the smartwatch over WiFi. This is a big change as Android Wear devices were previously reliant on Bluetooth for pairing and sharing notifications.

The update also makes it easier to keep track of multiple wearables and device related settings can be found when tapped on a specific wearable. This will save the clutter from the home page of the app.

You can find the update to be reaching your smartphone anytime now, but if you don’t, make sure you head over to the Play Store and check for an update manually.
