Verizon to start pre-orders of the Samsung Galaxy S6 on April 1

Galaxy S6

Earlier today, Samsung announced the pre-orders of the unlocked models of the Samsung Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge which begins tomorrow. Now, America’s largest carrier, Verizon has announced availability as well. According to the carrier, the smartphone will be up on pre-order starting April 1, with launch hopefully expected on April 10 as Samsung mentioned earlier.

The carrier has merely made this announcement on Twitter and is yet to share details on the pricing of the device. But in any case, we expect the pricing to start from $199.99 on contract while there will also be monthly installment plans to pick from.

The Galaxy S6 Edge will obviously be slightly more expensive given the uniquely shaped display on board. The price points will differ based on the storage variants, so don’t expect a fixed price for the Galaxy S6 or the Galaxy S6 Edge, which is something we’ve been accustomed to with past previous flagships.

The Galaxy S6 packs a 5.1 inch 2K display, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, a 5-megapixel front camera, an Exynos 7420 quad core SoC, 3GB of RAM, 32/64/128GB of internal storage, Android 5.0 Lollipop and a 2,550 mAh battery.
