The LG G2 On Verizon Is Now Getting Lollipop

There is some good news today for you LG G2 owners on Verizon. After months of the device receiving updates to Lollipop in other regions of the world, now you will be able to update to Lollipop as well.

With Lollipop you get all the benefits users of other devices have gotten, as well as an update to LG’s skin overlay which now more resembles the LG G3. There are a few other major changes as well:

  • Overall GUI look has been updated following G3 model and reflecting Lollipop style.
  • G2 Lollipop Notification panel only requires a single swipe to display “Notifications” and “Quick Settings” at once.
  • G2 Lollipop OS Home touch buttons’ design changed to Android Lollipop style.
  • Recent button will be inserted between Home and Menu buttons after OS upgrade, user can rearrange the button combinations.

This update is being pushed out OTA, so just go to the Settings app and then check for an update. Hopefully other LG G2 customers on other carriers get this update soon.
