Sprint updating the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to Android 5.0

Galaxy Note 4

America’s third (or fourth) major carrier, Sprint, has now started the rollout of Android 5.0 Lollipop for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet. The update has all the bells and whistles associated with Android 5.0, but in Samsung’s own form. The software version is N910PVPU1BOB7 here, so make a note of that if you’re expecting an update.

The carrier is also issuing WiFi calling related updates, so there are some features from the carrier’s end as well. With the addition of WiFi calling, users will be able to make phone calls using a combination of phone networks and their home WiFi network, thus saving up on your overall voice minutes.

As always, we urge you to not lose your patience if you don’t see the update notification on your handset right away. Android 5.0 on the Galaxy Note 4 will introduce some familiar changes, although don’t expect to see a lot of Material Design elements here.
