OpenTable app on Android will now let you pay for your meals at restaurants

You can now pay for your meals at restaurants using your mobile, thanks to the new feature added on the OpenTable app on Android. This feature was present on the iOS version of the app and has formally made its entry on Android too.

It’s very simple and is currently accessible in 22 cities of the U.S., so it’s still not as spread out as most would like. Even then, it’s a good feature to have and big cities like New York, Chicago etc are covered.

Once you finish eating at one of the many restaurants where this feature is supported, you can look towards your OpenTable app after you get the bill and make the payment using the “Pay with OpenTable” feature on the app.

Once the payment is confirmed by the restaurant, an invoice will be emailed to you. So all you have to do is just finish your meal, pay through your phone and leave, it’s literally that simple. Although in some cases, it might just be convenient to pay up front, this is certainly a neat feature to have at your disposal.

Check out the list of cities where Pay with OpenTable is supported.
