Yesterday, we quoted a report from XDA which mentioned that the bloatware or rather unnecessary apps from the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge can be removed. A new revelation contradicts those reports and makes it very clear that Samsung will not allow the removal of its core apps.
It is said that the apps can merely be disabled from your system, meaning that they won’t show up in your app drawer. But there’s still no way to completely remove the app from the device as they’re baked into Samsung’s Android 5.0.2 ROM. This might be sufficient enough for most users as apps running in the background and popping up in the app drawer is usually the concern for most of the users.
On the other hand, if you wanted to free up some space on your Samsung flagship, these apps will be off limits. This will also apply to the Galaxy S6 Edge smartphone, which has the same software as the Galaxy S6.
