LG announcing new flagship lineup in the second half of the year

The LG G3 is the company’s current flagship smartphone. The manufacturer is also expected to unveil the LG G4 sometime in March with a high end hardware specs sheet. And now, renowned LG tipster Cho Juno has mentioned that the company will kickstart a new series of flagship smartphones, possibly even higher than the G4 in the chain.

While there’s no clarification on what this device might be packing in terms of hardware, our first guess is that the company is trying to get into the phablet segment with this new offering. As you all probably know, the manufacturer stopped making phablets after the G Pro 2 handset which was unveiled at the MWC last year.

LG only has a solitary flagship in the market now while Samsung has already launched four flagship handsets over a 7 month period. So it’s clear that LG also wants a slice of that action and it will be interesting to see what the company has to offer. We’re curious to learn how this new range of flagships will differentiate from the LG G4 when it breaks cover this March.
