HTC One M9+ to launch during the company’s April 8 event

More Than One - One M9+

We’ve already heard quite a bit about the HTC One M9+ and the hardware that it’s supposed to be packing. HTC has now given us a launch date for the smartphone by scheduling an event in Beijing for the 8th of April.

The event invite leaves practically nothing to the imagination as it simply says “More than One”, implying that this is a new One series smartphone. The device shown in the event invite seems to have a white back cover with gold trims on the side, which makes for a good color combination.

It seems to be packing exactly the same design as the One M9, although some reports had pegged it to be featuring a polycarbonate back cover. From what we’ve heard in the rumors so far, the One M9+ will pack a 5.2 inch QHD display, a Mediatek MT6795 octa core SoC, a 20.7-megapixel camera on the back, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and a 2,840 mAh battery.

Since the device is going to be unveiled in China, we’re guessing it will be limited to the Asian markets for the foreseeable future.
