The 2014 Moto X is expected to be getting the Android 5.1 update through a soak test. Although we know about some hidden features that are making its way with this update, we didn’t quite know the full extent of the change log. Well that changes today, as Motorola has officially submitted the full changelog for the Android 5.1 update which will be sent out to its devices over the coming weeks.
The change log mentions the usual suite of changes that we saw on Android 5.1, such as Device Protection as well as some changes to the Quick Settings toggles. The update also introduces some bug fixes from Motorola, which is good to see.
We heard about the company using a new gesture to turn on the flashlight on the smartphone, which is also a neat touch. With the soak test invites already going live for 2014 Moto X users, we don’t think the mass rollout is far away.
