The Google Sheets, Docs and Slides applications on Android have just been updated with some minor tweaks on board. The update makes the ‘Keep on Device’ option more visible to the users, so you won’t have to search for it from the menu separately.
The create new document button on Docs now asks you to either create a Microsoft Word document or a standard Google Document, which is a very neat touch. There aren’t any other major changes here apart from what we’ve mentioned above. But these are enough to get you excited about the updates.
Changes like these will make Google’s suite of apps more appealing to the customers over Microsoft’s recently launched Office apps on the Play Store. The update might take some time to be available on a global level, so make sure you grab the apk files from the links below to get your hands on the new update.
Downloading and installing the new software will replace the existing version of the apps, which means your app drawer won’t be cluttered. Also, these apps are coming straight from Google’s verified servers, so you can install them without worry.
