YouTube for Kids now available on Android

YouTube Kids

The YouTube for Kids app is now available on Android and iOS devices. Google calls this “the first Google product built from the ground up with little ones in mind.”

The app comes with a kid friendly user interface and has content tailored specifically for children. There will be content from the likes of Reading Rainbow, DreamWorks TV, Jim Henson TV, Mother Goose Club, Talking Tom and Friends and more.

Naturally there are a multitude of parental controls on board here to ensure the parents are in complete control of what their kids are watching. Parents can also set a timer which can lets kids watch videos for a specific amount of time. Further, the search function on the app can be disabled, which will only give access to whatever is shown on the app homescreen.
